Mermaid Waters Vet is excited to now be able to offer physiotherapy to our dog & cat clients (by appointment).
Our physiotherapist comes to us with a world of experience. She has worked not only in Australia but also the UK. She also works side by side the veterinarians at the Brisbane Veterinary Specialist Centre. She is a human physiotherapist who has then gone down the path of animal physiotherapy. She Graduated her Masters in Veterinary Physiotherapy in 2008.

Has your pet had a recent orthopaedic surgery?
Maybe your dog injured themselves playing at the park?
Perhaps there is an old injury and your pet has had some muscle wastage or has an abnormal walk/stance?
If you answered ‘yes’ to any of these questions why not ring us to book an appointment with our in clinic physiotherapist? If you would go to the physiotherapist yourself for something why not take your pet for the same reasons? Please be aware that with animals, a veterinary referral is a legal requirement before seeing an animal physiotherapist. This helps the veterinarian and physiotherapist work together to ensure your pet receives the best possible treatment for their condition.
The initial consultation for your pet is 1 hour long. Further consultations are 30-40minutes at a reduce cost.
